Coast Guard Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) Site Visit

The March Port & Maritime Committee meeting will be held as a brief, in-person site visit to the U.S. Coast Guard Vessel Traffic Service (VTS).

This visit provides a unique opportunity to observe VTS operations and gain insight into maritime traffic coordination in the Houston-Galveston region.

Attendance Requirements

Due to federal security requirements:

• Attendance is limited to United States citizens or nationals only.
• Foreign nationals may not attend.
• All attendees must present valid identification in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
• Registration must include full legal name and confirmation of U.S. citizenship or nationality.

*Failure to meet these requirements will result in denied entry.

Registration Information

• Attendance is capped at twelve (12) participants.
• Registration will close at 11:59 PM on March 22, 2026, or earlier if capacity is reached.
• The finalized attendee list will be submitted to the Coast Guard on March 23, 2026.

Advance registration is required. No walk-ins will be permitted.

In the event of a lapse in federal appropriations (government shutdown), this site visit may be cancelled. Registered participants will be notified promptly if cancellation becomes necessary.
